Join us on the Woodstock Square for a weekend of art, music, movement, and shared creative experiences. This family-friendly festival brings together local artists, musicians, performers, and community members for an immersive celebration where everyone is invited to participate.
Whether you're discovering new artwork, creating alongside local artists, listening to live performances, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the Square, you'll find inspiration around every corner.
In celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary, ArterraFest adopts the theme, “Power of Place,” inviting participants to explore and express what makes Woodstock uniquely meaningful. From the Square to surrounding neighborhoods, Power of Place will be highlighted through work that is site-responsive, community-driven, and uniquely tied to the character of Woodstock. Together, these experiences will transform the town into a living, evolving showcase of creativity.

Friday evening
5:30-7:30 Amplified is a collaborative musical experience on the square featuring some of Woodstock's finest musicians sprinkled with creative surprises throughout.
7:00-9:00 Ecstatic Dance, often described as a moving meditation, is a free-form dance journey where you move exactly as your body desires to the musical wave at the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple; registration recommended (link coming soon).
Saturday Afternoon
3:00-6:00 Arterra on the square: scheduled performances blend with pop-up artistic encounters and collaborative projects, while immersive experiences invite visitors to engage, explore, and shape the festival alongside their neighbors.
Saturday Evening
7:30-9:00 Square Notes is more than a performance; it's a celebration of the people, stories, and creative spirit that make Woodstock unlike any other place. At the Woodstock Opera House, get your tickets for a remarkable evening of original music, poetry, storytelling, dance, theater, and visual art, created and performed by the artists who live, work, and create right here in our community.
This is a ticketed event (price is pay-what-you-can).
After hours - head to Ortmann’s to gather with friends and artists for a toast and experience the willow branch sculpture designed and built by a local artist.

ArterraFest is conceived of and sponsored by Arterra Project, an emerging non-profit facilitating collaborative projects at the crossroads of art, nature, and community. Arterra Project is working with the greater Woodstock community to create ArterraFest Woodstock 2026.
